Rosa 12.1 kernel 3.8.12-nrj-desktop-2rosa
The latest release of Bricscad has some tricky dependecies related to pixbuf.
Any attempt to open a file causes a crash
(bricscad:7323): GdkPixbuf-WARNING **: Cannot open pixbuf loader module file '/usr/lib/gdk-pixbuf-2.0/2.10.0/loaders.cache': No such file or directory
This likely means that your installation is broken.
Try running the command
gdk-pixbuf-query-loaders > /usr/lib/gdk-pixbuf-2.0/2.10.0/loaders.cache
to make things work again for the time being.
Segmentation fault (core dumped)
As suggested I ran the command
[brm@rosa v13]$ gdk-pixbuf-query-loaders > /usr/lib/gdk-pixbuf-2.0/2.10.0/loaders.cache
bash: /usr/lib/gdk-pixbuf-2.0/2.10.0/loaders.cache: No such file or directory
The needed files are 64bit while pixbuf wants 32bit
[brm@rosa v13]$ locate loaders.cache
/usr/lib64/gdk-pixbuf-2.0/2.10.0/loaders.cache
I tried to create a link to in /usr/lib - but his did not work
(bricscad:9962): Gtk-WARNING **: Error loading theme icon 'text-x-generic' for stock: Unable to load image-loading module: /usr/lib64/gdk-pixbuf-2.0/2.10.0/loaders/libpixbufloader-svg.so: /usr/lib64/gdk-pixbuf-2.0/2.10.0/loaders/libpixbufloader-svg.so: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64
also tried to install gdk-pixbuf-2.0 32bit - but no luck so far - any ideas ?
Bricscad Pixbuf dependency problem
Re: Bricscad Pixbuf dependency problem
This issue has progressed. I was able to do a hack by copy and pasting some libraries from a Fedora vm. Not ideal - but the errors subsided. One of my problems stemmed for a failure to have the necessary 32bit repositories enabled.
Bricscad now starts ok but any attempt to load a dwg file will cause a crash. The developers are working on a fix for this version which is 13.2.1. My earlier version of Bricscad (13.1.19) was working ok.
