Another post targeted to ROSA staff.

I use ROSA as my only OS, on Desktop and Laptop. I am very satisfied and thankful to all ROSA Development Team and I would like to contribute to ROSA development, however, my programming skills are still very limited and thus, I would like to start by translating ROSA documentation in Greek. I am aware that Greek userbase of ROSA is not that big and probably there is no big need of documentation in Greek, but I think that it doesn't hurt either. If it's there, it will be easier for more Greek-speaking users to switch to ROSA in the future, if they want to.

I speak three languages and Greek is my native language. I am well educated and I can assure you that the documents will be translated in professional-like manner.

If ROSA staff support my initiative, I would like someone to assist me with it.

- Where to start?

- I am planning to start by translating the ROSA wiki pages, do you think that I must start with something else?

- What is the most effective way to translate?

Should I save the translated documents In plain text files and provide a maintainer with them or there is an online platform to translate the documents there, directly?[/list][/list]

I am open to any comments, suggestions and directions.

For wiki translations u may start reading some technical info about wiki formatting basics, follow the link: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:Formatting and further links from that page. For your first steps in formatting use the Sandbox here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Sandbox
The formatting rules apply to every wikimedia instance including ROSA wiki. Once u are familiar w the formatting basics, u may start translating the ROSA wiki articles.

I do click the button, but i get an error from the captcha ...

I enter the command to my terminal and I get the following:

I copy it to the textbox and I get the above mentioned error!

Yes, «0325f7f1cbf9c2c04556d4bb92d129a4d507dd6b» (no spaces, no quotes, just hex code) is the right answer to this captcha.
I just check it once more and successfully registered another test account.

We need this captcha becaouse without this captcha our wikis was continouosly raped by spammers.

As you may have already guessed, I have never translated/edited a wiki and I need some guidance.

Should I now open wiki articles, hit the "edit" link, translate them and save them?
Should I request a new language section to be created?
How can I keep up with new articles and changes in the articles that I have translated? I realized that all translated editions of the wiki except of Russian are dated.
