Which iso should I download to install on an old Dell Dimension 3000 desktop? It's a 32-bit machine. It isn't obvious from the file names. Thanks.

Hard to say unless we know exactly how much memory it has. Google says there can be from 128MB up to 1GB, so please give the exact numbers (CPU also etc). For an old machine the obvious choice would be the LXDE Marathon edition, but only starting from 256Mb RAM.

2 gigs of ram, 80 gigs of disk space. Pentium 4 processor.

But my question remains, and I'm really confused. All I see on the download pages are i586 and 64-bit downloads. I know the 64-bit download won't work on my 32-bit machine. Will the i586 version work? Thanks.
