But wait, what about other updates for the software, notably, graphics drivers, Mesa and other things that get old rather fast?
Well, while it is not currently planned to issue such updates for rosa2014.1 officially, we can still make them available in the separate repositories.
Until rosa2016.1 matures (i.e., at least till the first release of ROSA based on rosa2016.1, may be longer) we will provide such updates here:
For 64-bit systems: http://abf-downloads.rosalinux.ru/x11_b ... n/release/
For 32-bit systems: http://abf-downloads.rosalinux.ru/x11_b ... n/release/
For example, these repositories already contain the proprietary drivers for NVidia graphics version 367.44 as well as everything necessary for our graphics configuration tool (XFdrake) to recognize these drivers and suggest them for the supported hardware. The experimental beta version 370.23 of the drivers is also available there (x11-driver-video-nvidia-current).
So if you need newer graphics-related stuff, you can give x11_backports a try.
How to enable x11_backports:
for 64-bit systems, it might be needed to add both repositories because some applications (e.g. Steam) may still need the 32-bit libraries
